We wish to be one of the first Athletics club’s to implement a formal Child Safety Standards Policy in line with the Child Safety Standards set out by the Office of the Children’s Guardian, with guidance from Little Athletics NSW (LANSW). The safety and protection of our athletes and volunteers is our absolute priority. We will ensure that the guidelines are strictly adhered to, and any deviation will not be tolerated. Our current policy v1.0 appears at the base of this page.
Eastlakes Athletics Centre Incorporated has appointed a Member Protection Information Officer and a ‘Young Guns’ peer support network, independent to the Executive Committee, for our athletes to be able to ask questions and raise any concerns.
We also have a strong history as a family oriented and friendly club. The LANSW Code of Conduct and Behavioural Guidelines have been adopted by Eastlakes and will be soundly encouraged and enforced.
